Brian Poole, Frank Gore among remaining Jets free agents

The Jets entered the 2021 offseason with 25 impending free agents. After a few months, a handful remain unsigned.

Unsurprisingly, Joe Douglas chose not to keep as many Jets free agents as he has in the past. Only Marcus Maye, Josh Adams and Daniel Brown signed new deals to rejoin the Jets, and only Maye figures to be in the team’s long-term plans — if they can agree on a contract extension soon.

While the Jets didn’t have much talent last year, a few important pieces from the 2020 squad are still available, led by defensive backs Bradley McDougald and Brian Poole. Both are coming off season-ending injuries, but it’s still a bit shocking to see Poole without a team after two solid seasons in New York. Running back Frank Gore is another big name still on the open market, but he just turned 38 years old.

Here’s a quick look at every remaining Jets free agent.
