Cincinnati Bengals rookie Darius Hodge was arrested on July 4 in Wake Forest, North Carolina on charges stemming from allegedly assaulting a man in 2019.
The news comes from WRAL.com, which says the arrest pertains to an incident in which Hodge allegedly hit a man multiple times.
Hodge was one of six undrafted free agents the Bengals announced after the draft concluded. He played three years at Marshall, totaling 15.5 sacks and 20.5 tackles for loss.
Since this arrest pertains to an event that allegedly happened in 2019, Hodge won’t be subject to the NFL’s Personal Conduct Policy over this arrest. But if he runs into further trouble, it will fall under the microscope.
